Gerald Brown headed to the NFL

Gerald Brown.Indiana assistant head coach Gerald Brown has accepted a job with the Atlanta Falcons and new head coach Mike Smith. He’ll coach the running backs, a duty he had at Indiana before becoming Bill Lynch’s right-hand man after Terry Hoeppner passed away.

Brown and Smith were on the same staff at Tennessee Tech during the 1990s.

Lynch has had to fill only one spot on his staff since replacing Hoeppner, and he did so by promoting Kyle Conner to tight ends coach. Conner had been an offensive quality control coach.
