Half-time thoughts

E.J.’s face says it all.

Well, as expected, the Illini have come to play.

And the Hoosiers, although they’ve shown glimpses of potential, have been sloppy on offense and they trail, 34-30 at the break.

A few statistical notes to help better understand what we’ve seen so far:

  • Leading rebounder for the Hoosiers? Surprisingly, it’s not D.J. White, who grabbed 22 boards last Tuesday at Michigan. Mike White has 5, D.J. 3.
  • The Hoosiers have only totaled 3 assists through the first 20 minutes.
  • Eric Gordon only has one field goal, but found his way to the free throw line for six points. He’ll find a way to get more than six this half.

The first few minutes will be imperative for both teams. If the Illini come out and continue with their intensity, they could very well walk out of Bloomington tonight with a win. If the Hoosiers pass the ball better, set screens and work on the defensive end, they should be able to get the win.

We’ll keep you posted.
