Taber expected to play

Kyle Taber slaps hands with his teammates.

In what constitutes a major news story with IU basketball (the times the are a changing), senior forward Kyle Taber is expected to make his return to the court tonight for the Hoosiers’ exhibition game with Bemidji State.

Taber, the lone senior and returning scholarship player on Tom Crean’s first team, has been out since late August after having knee surgery. It is unclear how close to being in game-shape he actually is, though he would probably be a natural fit to play the “4” tonight against a Beavers team that will have a little bit of size.

  1. Well, until Kellen’s kid leads IU to the Rose Bowl. That would be in about 2029, so the news IS a bit early.

  2. I’m not sure what we would have done without Taber’s 1.7 ppg. This news is sort of like hearing that Greg Ostertag will be rejoining the Jazz.
