Hulls has not lost in 11 months

One of the more oft-repeated phrases used to describe Jordan Hulls is winner.

For at least once, the hyperbole is correct.

The former Bloomington South guard, who will play for Indiana next season, has not lost an organized basketball game since July 2008.

That’s a streak of some 30 games, including all 26 games South won during the 2008-09 season and four all-star games.

“It’s been a while,” Hulls said. “Hopefully, you guys don’t jinx me and we lose.”

The last loss came with South, but during the Adidas Super64 Tournament in Las Vegas. An AAU event, South was the only high school team in the field.

Hulls will put that winning streak on the line again tonight in New Albany, when he leads the Indiana All-Stars against the Junior All-Stars. Game time is 8 p.m., with tickets available at the door.
