END OF GAME: The Tigers won, 124-97.

D.J. Byrd went to the bench late in the fourth quarter complaining of a pulled hamstring.

HALFTIME OF BOYS’ GAME: The Terhune Tigers are winning, 75-42.

Yes, 75-42.

Who’s on Terhune? Hulls and Elston.

Elston has 21 points (including 4-of-5 from 3-point range) and five rebounds.

Hulls has two points, two rebounds, two steals and six assists.

Marion’s Scott Wood, who is headed to North Carolina State, also has 20.

The two Purdue recruits, Patrick Bade and D.J. Byrd, have five and seven points, respectively. Lawrence North’s Stephan Van Treese, headed to Louisville, has two points.

END OF GIRLS’ GAME: Hickory wins, 107-104.

Sinclair started and played as many minutes as anyone until falling awkwardly on her ankle during the third quarter. She came out and tried to play on it in the fourth, but just couldn’t keep up and left for a while. She came in to play 30 seconds late.

Unofficial stats (I had a bad view for the first half): 18 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist.

I’ve seen Sinclair play twice now, both in the all-star format. I’ve yet to see what Felisha Leggette-Jack and her staff see.

Also, Skyler Diggins is very, very good. The Notre Dame-signee, who won Miss Basketball, went up to the basket, had two defenders coming in from her right and switched the ball to her left in mid-drive and scored. Very smooth.

Chris Korman and I are in the old Hoosiers gym in picturesque Knightstown on this Friday night for the Hoosier Reunion Classic.

Right now, the announcer is introducing both girls’ teams. IU recruit Aulani Sinclair will suit up for Terhune.

Jordan Hulls and Derek Elston will play in the boys’ game, scheduled to start at 8 p.m.

We’ll have updates all night.

  1. Having watched Skylar play over the past 6 years, she is very good. Unfortunately she signed w/ ND who won’t develop her. Coach Jack needs to get to the South Bend Market and take a look at the talent there. A couple of Clay girls have been overlooked and a couple of Skylar’s sidekicks over the past couple years have been missed. There’s talent there, I hope she begins to be seen up there.

  2. What does “more later” mean? You posted this on Friday 6/5, it is now Tuesday 6/9, you still cannot find the actual box score to post? No meaningful descriptions of the players, their pros and cons? Are you sports writers? We would like some interesting information. Why do you not provide it?
