Lynch’s 11th

The Indiana football team received its 11th verbal commitment for the class of 2010 today when Cody Evers told the coaching staff he’d like to accept its scholarship offer.

Evers is a 6-foot-4, 317-pound offensive lineman from Appleton, Wisc.

Rivals.com has not evaluated Evers, and says he had interest — but not scholarship offers — from Wisconsin, Northwestern, Miami (Ohio), Northern Illinois and Marshall.

According to Scout.com, which also has not evaluated Evers, he had interest from Marshall, Iowa, Northwestern, Southern Illinois, Eastern Illinois and Illinois State.

  1. He just switched from defense to offense, so that is what is holding back ramkings/offers. He has great size though.

  2. Is there any film out there? According to Jimmy he just switched from defense to offense, but I would like to see some film and how athletic this kid is.

  3. Right here in Bloomington we have a kid that is 6-4 and 305 and still growing with great footwork, great student, even a better person. Cam Edwards. I still can not believe that IU has not shown some interest. Redshirt this kid one year and he is could be 325…..trust me he is not even close to being finished growing or physically mature. I guess that we need to get him a page on Scout.Com He has visited twice to Louisville…..he just finished an outstandin one day at Louisville. He did IU camp and got some interest but we keep seeing kids from Ohio and Wisconsin gaining offers. He will probably be a OG at the next level……he much like Aaron Price from South…..great kid, great worker, great attitude, and would love to play at next level.

  4. Coach T,

Did you contact Tim Adams about Edwards yet?

Being an area high school teacher and coach, I am sure you would be able to talk to the staff at IU to know where they stand on him?

Keep us updated on this kid.
