Ever since the Big Ten went to an 18-game conference schedule, each team has played two other teams just once each year.
The last two years, Indiana only played Purdue once. That was stupid.
This season, they only play Michigan State — where Tom Crean began his coaching career — once, at home.
The Hoosiers also only face Penn State once, in that raucously insufferable building known as the Bryce Jordan Center.
Here’s a full list of the so-called “one plays”, courtesy of the folks at the Big Ten office:
ILLINOIS | Minnesota, at Michigan
INDIANA | Michigan State, at Penn State
IOWA | Penn State, at Wisconsin
MICHIGAN | Illinois, at Purdue
MICHIGAN STATE | Ohio State, at Indiana
MINNESOTA | Wisconsin, at Illinois
NORTHWESTERN | Purdue, at Ohio State
OHIO STATE | Northwestern, at Michigan State
PENN STATE | Indiana, at Iowa
PURDUE | Michigan, at Northwestern
WISCONSIN | Iowa, at Minnesota
Did the IU Basketball Hoosiers get a break from the scheduling gods this year or what?
When will we know their full schedule? I’ve seen some schools have already released theirs
