  1. I don’t know if anyone was watching by this time, but did anybody notice the cold handshake between Crean and Matta. Matta tried saying something to him, but Crean just kept on walking

  2. I don’t blame Crean for the icy embrace. His team regressed AGAIN and Matta claims the Indiana bred recruits Crean needs. I wouldn’t be inclined to share friendly banter with Matta either after that game. Plus, if you have HD you know that Matta isn’t all that appealing to look in the face.

  3. I noticed that too. I’ve also noticed in other games that Crean barely breaks stride as he shakes the other coach’s hand. I remember Knight was always more congenial after a win that a loss.

  4. Why would Crean be interested in yucking it up with Matta after OSU had just finished killing us?

    No surprises there.

  5. All the more reason to vomit when Crean yucks it up with Calipari…If you care about the integrity of college basketball, I would think it much easier to stomach the sweaty handshake and quick glancing blow of Matta’s gloating face than sit for an hour to coddle it up with a pile of the game’s biggest disgrace..All the more pleasant when taking a friendly gulping swallow, the unsavoriness, the obnoxious and nauseatingly repulsive smell of blue manure.

The loss was only to his ego.

  6. I think the handshakes are also a reflection of the “negative” recruiting Crean mentioned while trying to rebuild IU .

  7. That does make sense now that you mention that.

I just mentioned the handshake because it was odd even for a quick one. Matta almost turned around to try and talk to Crean, but Crean didn’t even break stride. It was like Matta was trying to stop him.
