IU women add one

Simone Deloach, a 6-foot-3 post from Round Rock, Texas, has signed to play for Indiana and coach Felisha Legette-Jack beginning this fall. For proof, see this photo gallery.

The Hoosiers could sign up to two more players this spring.

Just got off the phone with Deloach’s high school coach, Anthony Robinson. He said a torn ACL to her right knee as a sophomore put her under the radar in terms of recruiting, but Deloach really came on the last half of her junior year and her senior year.

“She’s a shot-blocker, 6-3 and very mobile for big girl, can get up and down the court,” Robinson said. “An excellent inside shooter with nice touch on her shot.
“It got to the point where she was a beast in the lane her senior year.”

  1. Coach Jack should check out players in South Bend. Ariel Easton would make a fine addition to IU’s team. Good scorer, quick, solid defense, high honorable mention for all state and has played in an uptempo program. Started all 4 years and her former teammate plays at Cincinnati.
