IU target Roberts visited by Penn State

Bloomington North running back D’Angelo Roberts had the Penn State coaching staff on campus today.

It is the second visit to Bloomington for Penn State, as it recruits North’s record-setting rusher.

Penn State has not offered a scholarship yet.

Roberts recently said IU remains in his top three schools, though he did not say who the other two were. He carried the ball 388 times for 2,604 yards as a junior, including 32 touchdowns. He also caught 12 passes for 299 yards and three scores. He was the Herald-Times Offensive Player of the Year.

He owns every rushing record at North and holds the county game and single-season marks. He should pass the Monroe County rushing record early next season.

Here is Roberts’ season highlight film:

One comment

  1. He gets to the second level so fast that it leaves the defense with no time react. Possesses an elusive balance with tremendous vision and a hard nosed attitude about being tackled. This runner is a must see this Fall.
