Phil Steele names Doss preseason All-Big Ten first team

Tandon Doss’s breakout sophomore season caught the eye of college football preseason magazine guru Phil Steele. Steele named Doss as one of three wide receivers on his preseason All-Big Ten first team along with Purdue’s Keith Smith and Ohio State’s Devier Posey.

Steele gave three other Indiana football players mention on his four All-Big Ten teams. Wide receiver Damarlo Belcher and Darius Willis were both named to the third team. Chris Hagerup was named the fourth-team punter.

  2. ^^^ hehehe. No, not much moderation here, and that’s the way we like it. This ain’t no run-of-the-mill sportsblog.

By the way, fantastic news about Doss. The receiving corps is going to be dynamite this year, as long as Chappell doesn’t prove to be a one-year wonder.

  3. Maybe he will put Doss on the cover. It really made me mad when he did not put Hardy on the cover. I buy his magazine every year and he brags about his high percentage of being right but it seems to me he is always way off. Maybe I am nuts! Glad the guys are getting the exposure they deserve…

  4. i agree with ges32..he had a good year last year, leading the offense/team to one big ten win and a bunch of choke jobs.

  5. Well ok then danny, here is to hoping mr. chappell will improve on those mistakes with a year of seasoning and instead of suffering “choke” jobs we can pull those games out! oh and lets hope the big ten officials dont blatantly try to make sure IU doesnt win (Michigan and Iowa, you can still see turners skid mark from his cleat on their turf i bet!)
