Ferrell visit plus 2013 rankings

Yogi Ferrell will take an unofficial visit to Indiana on Wednesday, according to a Twitter report.

Report inaccurate. Sorry for the confusion.

Rivals.com also unveiled its 2013 top 15. Indiana’s top three targets in the class — Basil Smotherman, Devin Davis and Zak Irvin — are not in the 15. Eric Bossi, one of Rivals’ national guys, said Smotherman and Davis would be four-stars but they are holding off on Irvin for now.

  1. I think and hope you might be onto something Jubilee.
The timing really leads me to believe he might commit.

  2. I think this could be great news. It was reported elsewhere that Yogi was supposed to make an unofficial visit to Notre Dame for their football game last Saturday, but didn’t end up making the trip. I’m holding out hope for a commitment but I’ll also try to temper my expectations.

  3. The fact that Young is now completely off our radar may have something to do with it, but regardless I agree and think Yogi may be coming to B’town to commit.

  4. 4guards,

A year ago, I would have agreed with you on Baker. But he is either not recovered from his leg injury or he’s loafing, because he has lost quite a bit of his explosiveness. Also makes a lot of bad decisions.

  5. He is coming off a major injury….but he will be back and it would be smart to stick with him through it all.
    Too bad on Yogi.

  6. I guess an unofficial visit on a Wednesday night in the middle of a school week would be a bit odd…

But, let’s not forget. He was just at an IU football game, where he watched James Blackmon Jr. commit early to a program and coach he believes in. He also spoke with Crean and said it went “really well.”

  7. How can anyone take Rivals talent assessment seriously when they rank Donnie Hale #144 and do NOT rank Austin Etherington in the top 150?
