  1. Loren Tate was pretty kind to the Hoosiers in putting them in the same breath as Illinois.

He made the fan base seem like a happy-go-lucky crew that is committed to having a bad program and is satisfied with the occasional, every-10-year upset. One of these days, the media outside Bloomington will pick up on the fact that people are no longer satisfied with this role, and want a real program.

The better route to take when comparing Illinois to IU is to take the route Dustin took – to look at Illinois’ recent efforts to address the coaching shortcomings. They do things to improve, we rest on our laurels. That pretty much sums it up.

  2. From the Tate article:

“For Hoosiers, the autumn season is merely a tuneup for a wild winter of roundball and the mad quest for a fourth NCAA title.”

Uh, I thought IU won their fourth title in 1981?

  3. Whats your thoughts on Hanner. With Baylor getting two verbals yesterday from Quincy Miller and Deuce Bello, does this help IU ‘s chances of landing him???

  4. Cream Apologiest:
To answer your question about Perea, I have to agree with Casey. Knowing what transpired with Baylor why would Perea even consider such a slim bag coaching staff.
Not only that, it will now put pressure on the NCAA to investigate the situation and will probably result in the fact that they can no longer recruit Perea.

All along it was supposed to be between IU and Bayol but now Tennessee and others are in the mix. I think if Zeller then Yogi commit you will see Perea at IU.

  5. Hugh really dropped the ball with his song choice.

I can quickly think of two great possibilities surrounding the Zeller decision/Roy Williams saga:

    A.

    B.

    COME ON MAN!

  6. If you read Connor O’Gara article, sounds like Lynch already has his post game press conference excuses ready!

  7. I’m betting that IL will establish some new rushing records on Saturday. Comparing the time- of-possession stats should be very interesting.

Good luck boys, and no matter what, keep Chappell healthy.

  8. Off topic— I remember when DeShaun Thomas was reconsidering Ohio State that he mentioned Matta told him that they would run their offense through him. Now I read a jeff Goodman update that puts Thoms no better than 7th or 8th in the rotation for Matta who has a history of playing only 6 or 7 guys. So much for recruiting promises.
