Roth’s injury not considered serious

From Indiana media relations:

Men’s Basketball player Matt Roth left Monday’s game against Ferris State with a right knee injury in the second half and did not return to the game.  Initial tests indicate it is not serious.  He is being treated and will be continually evaluated.

“All of us in the IU basketball program, especially Matt and his family have appreciated everyone’s concern for his health,” said IU Coach Tom Crean.  “Our prayers have been definitely answered and he will return to action in due time.”

  1. Agree with the above posts – Matt seems like the ‘wild card’ this year – he could be a big piece of the puzzle to get us back to where we need to be. Didn’t see the injury but it looked really bad to Fisch – let’s get him (Matt, not Fisch) back on the floor so he can rain all over Kentucky.

  2. Now there are officially no “negatives” from that exhibition game.

After all, it’s just a glorified practice. I’m glad “we” won, but at least there are no serious injuries to come out of it, either.

Let’s hope Roth is able to get it rolling from downtown!
