BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana offensive tackle James Brewer has officially accepted an invitation to the 2011 Under Armour Senior Bowl. He will be one of 12 Big Ten players to suit up for the North squad.
The 62nd game is set for 4 p.m. ET on Saturday, Jan. 29, in Mobile, Ala. It will be televised by the NFL Network live from Ladd-Peebles Stadium.

“James had a solid career for the Hoosiers and was a mainstay on that offensive line,” Senior Bowl President and CEO Steve Hale said.  “We can’t wait to see him come down here and compete against the best of the best in the Senior Bowl.”

Brewer was an honorable mention All-Big Ten pick by the league’s coaches and media this season. He started nine games at right tackle and allowed just two sacks.

The Indianapolis native also received the 2010 Don Howell “Outstanding Offensive Lineman” Award, which is given annually to the team’s top offensive lineman. Brewer started his last 21 consecutive games and played in 29 games overall.
