Hoosier Morning

1. HOOSIERS HQ

It’s a new year, and that means new resolutions. This year, I skip on my own and give the IU basketball team some resolutions to aim for.

Seth Littrell was hired to be Indiana’s offensive coordinator, Dustin wrote.

If you haven’t already read my Big Ten Power Rankings on the blog, here they are on the site.

2. INDIANA BASKETBALL

Luke Winn of SI.com makes a revision to his preseason presumption that Indiana was a year or two away from being good.

Terry Hutchens of the IndyStar wonders if Kentucky has moved on from its loss to Indiana. Maybe not.

3. INDIANA’S NEXT OPPONENT

Nick Baumgardner of AnnArbor.com asks if this Michigan basketball team is for real. He says we might find out when the Wolverines come to Bloomington on Thursday.

Mike Rothstein of WolverineNation on ESPN.com joins Greg Rosenstein and Matt Dollinger on Inside the Hall’s Podcast on the Brink to preview the Michigan matchup.

Alex Bozich of Inside the Hall tells us what to expect from Michigan.

Daniel Wasserman of The Michigan Daily tells us about Trey Burke’s New Year’s resolutions.

  1. I enjoyed the nice about-face by Luke Winn. Especially his parting quote:

“The fact that the Hoosiers are ranked No. 12 in the AP poll, on Jan. 2 — and are arguably still underrated — is nothing short of miraculous, and Crean is the early front-runner for national coach of the year. But he is wary of appreciating it, because he knows that first-half wonders, if they don’t remain vigilant, are vulnerable to second-half fades.”

    Can’t wait for tomorrow!
