Replogle nominated for AFCA Good Works team

Indiana defensive tackle Adam Replogle was nominated for the AFCA Good Works team for his community service efforts. The release follows.

IU’s own defensive tackle, Adam Replogle, was just announced as a nominee for the 2012 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team® — the most prestigious off-the-field honor in college football.Through the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team®, Allstate and the AFCA recognize the community service contributions of college football players. Replogle boasts an impressive resume of community service accomplishments, which include:

 

  • Organizing a team-wide visit to Riley’s Children’s Hospital, distributing gifts and lifting spirits
  • Actively participating in Boys and Girls Club volunteer opportunities

 

From the 117 nominees, a prominent selection panel will select two 11-player Good Works Teams that will be announced in late September – one for the Football Bowl Subdivision (Div. I-A) and the other for the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision, Divisions II, III and NAIA.

 

Past members of the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team® include Super Bowl champion quarterbacks, Peyton and Eli Manning, ESPN analyst Trent Dilfer and 2011 Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III.

  1. Is Adam’s younger brother (in High School) being recruited by IU? Anybody know the status of that? Has IU made an offer?

  2. Ouch! And that’s an ouch in both directions. Ouch because Iu did not make him an offer and I believe his two older brothers play for IU, and Ouch because he chose to play at Purdue.

    Well, maybe he wants to become a pharmacist or an engineer!

  3. Perhaps he wants to learn tractor mechanics or how to tend to sick and dying hooved animals.
