Watch this game for just a few minutes, and there’s little doubt what the outcome is going to be. But that’s not what matters in this first outing for the Hoosiers. It’s about where to be and what to do offensively, defensively and even during time outs. Every break in play is a teaching moment for Curt Miller and staff.
As for the actual game, Aulani Sinclair leads the way with 10 points, Quaneisha McCurty with 8 points and Nicole Bell has 7 points. Simone Deloach has 7 rebounds off the bench. Bell has done a nice job as floor general with veteran Andrea Newbauer still sidelined by injury. Walk-ons Brionna Arnold (4 points) and Carmela Roeschlein provided some key minutes as well in the opening half. Indiana is shooting 13-fo-34 from the field, but Kentucky State is just 2-of-24 from the floor, which is about all you need to know about that. HOOSIERS 41, THOROUGHBRETTES 9
