Baseball Bracketology: Baseball America projects Indiana to host regional

It’s speculative puff and there’s still a lot of baseball to be played, but the respected publication Baseball America is currently projected Indiana (23-3) to not only play in the NCAA Tournament but to host one of the 16 regions and be the No. 1 seed in that region. The Hoosiers are currently the No. 16 in Baseball America’s Top 25 and are preparing for a Big Ten series this weekend against Illinois.

  1. FINALLY! Some baseball coverage at the Scoop!

I wonder if we’ll argue over our changes in the seedings over the next few months.

  2. I just want to see the baseball team get more recognition. How are they still ranked lower than Louisville when they have beaten them 2x? Talk about no love for the Hoosiers. But I say that’s ok. We can play with a chip on our shoulder all season and show the baseball world how good Hoosier baseball can be. My prediction is IU will be in the Top 10 be the end of the season fighting for one of the top 8 seeds in the tournament, and that will also give them the opportunity to hose a Super Regional, should they win their Regional.

  3. Ron, sorry, don’t know how to tell you this but, the Hoosiers are playing the 3 game series against Illinois in Bloomington! Its great to see the baseball Hoosiers having such a great start to their season. Keep up the good work.
