Indiana to start Will Coursen-Carr in second game

Indiana will use freshman left-hander Will Coursen-Carr to start on the mound in Monday’s 8 p.m. College World Series. The Fort Wayne native is 5-0 this season with a 1.80 ERA and 33 strikeouts in 60 innings this season. He’s taken on a bigger role in the postseason, going 3-0 with a 2.33 ERA and a save. Mississippi State’s order includes four left-handers and two switch hitters, hence the decision to go with Coursen-Carr over Big Ten Pitcher of the Year Aaron Slegers.
