Kaminski out for the year with ACL tear

Redshirt sophomore right guard David Kaminski is out for the season with a torn ACL, Indiana coach Kevin Wilson said on the Big Ten coaches’ teleconference on Tuesday.

Kaminski injured the knee in Saturday’s game against Penn State, and Wilson said the Hoosiers received an MRI on Monday night confirming the diagnosis.

Redshirt sophomore Jake Reed will start at right guard in Kaminski’s absence. He had started at left guard earlier this season when junior Bernard Taylor was out with an ankle sprain. Taylor has returned to the lineup, so he and Reed will handle the guard spots. Redshirt freshman Jacob Bailey, junior Cody Evers, redshirt freshman Wes Rogers and redshirt junior Pete Bachman are still options to provide depth at the position.
