Devin Davis “doubtful” for Tuesday’s game

Indiana coach Tom Crean said Monday that he would list freshman forward Devin Davis as “doubtful,” for Tuesday’s 7 p.m. game against Oakland after the Warren Central graduate re-aggravated an ankle sprain on Saturday against North Florida. He said it would be a game-time decision.

“That was just something he re-aggravated the other night a little bit worse,” Crean said. “We’ve just gotta try to do the best we can. He’s in triple-sessions over here for rehab, so it’s not like he’s not trying to get it right. But that will become (athletic trainer Tim Garl’s) call and the doctors’ call, but I’m not holding out hope that we’ll have him tomorrow.”

Davis has been effective as a reserve, averaging 3.4 points and 4.4 rebounds per game despite playing just 11.0 minutes per game. He ranks third on the squad in rebounding and also third on the team in blocked shots with nine.

  1. dustin,

you don’t re-aggravate an ankle sprain. nor do you reaffirm, reassure, or readjust anything. those “words” are redundant within themselves. like forewarn.
