IU women to play at Boston College in ACC/Big Ten Challenge

After hosting the last two seasons, the Indiana women’s basketball team will be back on the road for this year’s ACC/Big Ten Challenge.

The Hoosiers will play at Boston College on Dec. 3, 2014, marking the first meeting between the two programs. IU has won two straight Challenge games by defeating Virginia Tech last year, 71-65, and Clemson in 2012, 52-49. Indiana is 4-3 all-time in the event, winning three of those in the last four seasons.

“We are excited about out our matchup with Boston College in the annual challenge,” Indiana coach Curt Miller said in a statement. “I am personal friends with their coaching staff and have great respect for the job they are doing re-building the program. They are coming off an excellent season at home including a 6-1 non-conference home record. They excel as a team shooting the ball and utilize the 3-point shot similar to us. I look forward to a fun, up-tempo game where both teams won’t be afraid to shoot the three.”

Game times, as well as broadcast coverage, will be announced at a later date.
