Bears sign former IU receiver Kofi Hughes

It took a week, but Kofi Hughes has found a new home.

The former Indiana receiver signed a one-year contract with the Chicago Bears on Friday, according to the team’s Twitter account. Hughes was released by the Houston Texans on Aug. 8. He also spent time with the Washington Redskins this spring.

Hughes finished his IU career with 132 receptions for 1,956 yards and 13 touchdowns in 45 games.

  1. Great for Kofi and great for the Bears. Kofi will shine on special teams and contribute, if called upon, in the pass game!
