Jurkin headed to East Tennessee State

Peter Jurkin plans to transfer to East Tennessee State, ESPN’s Jeff Goodman is reporting.

Jurkin left the program in late June to seek a transfer. The 7-foot, 230-pounder played in only 18 minutes in two seasons at Indiana, logging two points and four rebounds.

East Tennessee State went 19-16 last season, with a 10-8 record in the Southern Conference. The Buccaneers made a postseason appearance in the College Insider Tournament, where they lost to Towson in the second round.

ETSU coach Murry Bartow served as a graduate assistant at Indiana from 1985-87.

  1. I wish PJ well. He sure tried to get on the court but just injured all the time. Dustin used to think because of my questions on the chat that I wanted to get rid of him. I didn’t just wanted to know if he was going to play.

Anyway I hope he gets healthy in his year off and can play well for ETS.
