Nick Westbrook, a 3-star Florida wideout, commits to Indiana football

Nick Westbrook of Lake Mary, Fla., a 6-foot-3, 205-pound wide receiver, verbally committed Saturday to become the 12th recruit in Indiana football’s 2015 class. He is a three-star recruit according to

Westbrook had offers from Virginia, Kentucky, Boston College, California, Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech and several other Division I programs. He caught 50 passes for over 800 yards and 13 touchdowns last season for an 11-1 Lake Mary team. He’s the second receiver committed in IU’s 2015 class, joining Leon Thornton of Lombard, Ill.

  1. Nick Westbrook had some high quality offers and chose IU. Great job Coach Wilson and staff!

  2. And by the looks of the other schools that made him an offer, he’s a good student too! Vandy does not waste offers on athletes that can’t cut it in the classroom. I’m liking the way this 2015 class is shaping up. IU’s recruiting is getting better and better.

  3. By the way, did anyone see Cody Latimer play in yesterday’s exhibition game at San Francisco? He had two highlight-reel plays. On one, he made a good catch for a touchdown. And the other play was when he knocked out a veteran strong safety with a huge, but to totally clean hit during a block. The Bronco watchers are getting very excited about Cody and his level of play in training camp and the pre-season. Go Hoosiers!
