BTN to carry at least three Indiana women’s basketball games

The Indiana women’s basketball team will have three games broadcast on Big Ten Network this season, the conference announced Monday.

BTN or BTN Plus — the network’s online alternate — will carry call of IU’s 18 regular season games. Indiana’s non-conference broadcast schedule will be announced at a later date.

IU’s game at Minnesota on Jan. 18 at 3 p.m. will appear on BTN, as will its Jan. 25 contest against Maryland at 3 p.m. The Hoosiers’ Feb. 2 clash with Purdue at 8:30 p.m. will also be carried nationally. Home games against Nebraska (Feb. 21) and Rutgers (March 1) are considered wildcard games that could be picked up by BTN. Those decisions will come later in the season.

All of Indiana’s non-TV home games will take start at 7 p.m. on weeknights and 2 p.m. on weekends. The only exceptions are Wednesday, Nov. 26 when IU hosts East Tennessee at 2 p.m. prior to Thanksgiving weekend and the Nebraska game on Feb. 21 (wildcard TV).
