Former IU catcher Josh Phegley gets September call-up from White Sox

The Chicago White Sox are bringing former Indiana catcher Josh Phegley back to the big leagues.

Phegley received a September call-up on Tuesday, according to Chicago Tribune beat writer Colleen Cox. The former Indiana star was an International League All-Star this season, hitting 23 home runs and 30 doubles with an .861 OPS in 107 games for Chicago’s Triple-A affiliate in Charlotte.

He made his major league debut with the White Sox in 2013, batting .206 with four home runs and 22 RBIs in 65 games.
