Cream and Crimson game set for April 18 #iufb

Indiana’s annual Cream and Crimson spring game will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 18.

IU released its spring practice schedule on Thursday, three weeks shy of its opening practice on March 26. The Hoosiers will hold an open team scrimmage to conclude the spring session and kick off Little 500 Weekend on Thursday, April 23.

“Our Spring Game crowds have been awesome,” IU coach Kevin Wilson said in a statement. “We will continue to hold our Youth Clinic before the game, have some live music and offer a bunch of family-friendly activities around The Rock. We’re also looking forward to closing out the spring with the IU Football Pre-Little 500 Bash. Fans can come out and tailgate, watch some football and get ready for the best college weekend in America.”

And here’s a look at the dates of IU’s 15-practice schedule:
March 26, 28, 29, 31
April 2, 7, 9, 11, 12, 14, 16, 18, 19, 21, 23

“We have had a very solid winter cycle and made significant strides in the weight room, in our conditioning and in our team chemistry,” Wilson said. “Our guys will do some testing next week before heading out on Spring Break. We are very much looking forward to returning to the field and getting started on the 26th.”

  1. Mike, good article, but could we expect maybe one football article a week? That is one way to build interest in the football program.

  2. Looking forward to this game… last year could tell defense was better, running game was better, and passing was off all in the spring game. Looking for all aspects to be better and gel as a team. They will be fun to watch especially with a stronger defense….

  3. IU will go bowling if we get good / better than average quarterback play…..Nate Sudfield has to take control of this team and play likes he wants to go to the next level…if not another lackluster season…the Defense and other aspect of the game will be lots better this year.
