Hoosiers jump back into polls after weekend sweep #iubase

Indiana did more than extend its winning streak to 10 games with a weekend sweep of baseball powerhouse Cal State Fullerton.

The success against the Titans propelled the Hoosiers (13-4) into the top 25 of three leading college baseball polls on Monday. Indiana is ranked No. 21 by D1baseball.com, No. 23 by Collegiate Baseball and No. 24 by Baseball America. IU is second in the Big Ten in team batting with a .291 average, while its pitching staff is third with a 2.60 ERA. Chris Lemonis’ team was ranked No. 22 by Collegiate Baseball after taking two out of three games in a season-opening series at Stanford.

The Hoosiers close a six-game homestand against Valparaiso on Tuesday at 4 at Bart Kaufman Field, where they are 5-0 this season.
