Saturday’s Haunted Hall of Hoops to feature open scrimmage #iubb

Didn’t make it to Hoosier Hysteria last weekend? You’ll have another opportunity to see IU basketball in action on Saturday.

Indiana is hosting its annual Haunted Hall of Hoops on Halloween afternoon at Assembly Hall with a full scrimmage set to begin at 2:30 p.m.

The North lobby will open for candy and games at 1:30 p.m., and fans will be able to find seats beginning at 2:15 p.m. Admission is free.

Children are encouraged to wear costumes and participate in a parade on the Assembly Hall floor immediately after the scrimmage. An autograph session will follow the parade, and each child will be given an item or may purchase items at the Varsity Shop to be signed.

“We have enjoyed doing this each year and this gives our players another opportunity to play in front of the best fans in the country,” IU coach Tom Crean said in a statement. “Just as we are excited about all the traditional parts of this event, we hope all Hoosier fans will come out to take in our scrimmage and help us in our preparation with our first exhibition game a few days later.”

Indiana opens its two-game preseason schedule with a game against the University of Ottawa on Tuesday at 7 p.m. That contest will be broadcast on BTN Plus.
