Indiana fails to add an insurance goal, but the defense keeps Louisville off the board to post a much-needed victory. Cardinals held a 10-7 edge in shots, while Indiana took the 8-5 edge in corner kicks. The Hoosiers (8-4-2) will be at home again on Saturday to host Michigan in a Big Ten battle. SECOND HALF
42:51: It didn’t take long for Indiana to respond out of the halftime break, as Femi Hollinger-Janzen dropped the ball for Tanner Thompson in the center of the box, and Thompson took a touch or two before curling one into the right side of the net to reclaim the lead. HOOSIERS 2, CARDINALS 1

HALFTIME
Indiana seemed to have the better of play, though limited shot opportunities, but Louisville surged late and caught a good bounce on the goal, which may well go down as an own goal. Cards finished with 5-2 edge in shots, corner kicks were 3-3. HOOSIERS 1, CARDINALS 1

4:07: Louisville catches a break as Romilio Hernandez’s shot is headed to the near post and deflects to the open net at the far post with Webb going the wrong way. Unlucky for IU. HOOSIERS 1, CARDINALS 1

37:53: Corner kick by Tanner Thompson headed down at the back post by Grant Lillard and bounces right to Billy McConnell for the header into the left side of the net. HOOSIERS 1, CARDINALS 0

PREGAME
Getting ready for Indiana’s final non-conference game of the season, as Louisville visits Armstrong Stadium tonight.
