IUWBB: Moren on grad transfer Amber Deane

Indiana officially announced Wednesday the addition of former Dayton guard Amber Deane as a grad transfer for 2016-17.

That announcement came with a comment from IU head coach Teri Moren on Deane, who averaged 15.3 points per game in nine games last season.

“We are excited to add Amber to our roster,” Moren said in a statement.  “Amber has great experience, having made deep postseason runs.  She is an outstanding player who has played against really good competition for the past four years.  She is able to score at all three levels – outside, midrange and getting to the rim.  Along with her offensive skill set, she is a willing defender.  What we like best about Amber is her ability to get out and run in transition.  She is going to fit in really well with our returning players as we continue to develop this program.”

Sure, Deane can score at all three levels. But did Moren know the 5-foot-9 guard can hit a no-look shot from halfcourt? Just watch the video below.
