Non-conference schedule set for IU men’s soccer

The Indiana University men’s soccer team finished revealing its non-conference schedule for the 2016 season on Monday via Twitter.

The Hoosiers will face a particularly challenging gauntlet to start the season, opening with New Mexico and Cal-Irvine at the Mike Berticelli Memorial Tournament in South Bend on Aug. 26 and 28.

Indiana then opens the home campaign with the IU Classic on Sept. 2 and 4, hosting a pair of Pac-12 foes in California and defending national champion Stanford.

The remainder of the non-conference slate includes home games with IUPUI, Butler and St. Louis, as well as road trips to Notre Dame and Louisville.

In the preseason, IU will host exhibition games against Loyola (Chicago) and Oakland at Armstrong Stadium, as well as take on UCLA in Fort Wayne on Aug. 20.

  1. Purdue hitting the news. Spike Albrecht……freezing tuition another year…..scheduling Villanova non-conference game…..first to map the Zika virus structure.

  2. Never got excited about Spike. At his best he was slow and he may not be at his best anymore. I thought his basketball career was over. I hope he is happy at Purdue and they lose every game.
