Couple notes from Wilson’s Monday availability

Indiana will move through another game week waiting to see how two of its most important offensive linemen respond to their respective injuries.

Right guard Dan Feeney (concussion) and right tackle Dimitric Camiel (back) both missed Saturday’s game and their availability for the Michigan State game may not be known until late in the week.

Wilson said after the Wake Forest game that Feeney, an All-American, was struggling with some recurring issues related to a concussion sustained two weeks ago, but said Monday that Feeney was active in workouts on Sunday.

He’ll continue to be monitored as he completes exercise activities during the coming days.

“It’s just a matter of does he have headache issues?” Wilson said.”When that’s clear I think our doctors are giving the clear. So they’re just pushing him through work, and after work, if he’s feeling good consistently, he’s going to get to go.”

Wilson lauds players of the week

After going off for 208 receiving yards on eight catches, Ricky Jones was recognized as Indiana’s offensive player of the week.

On the opposite side of the ball, Wilson honored safety Jonathan Crawford as the team’s top defender. Wilson highlighted Crawford for playing every snap of the game, while making seven tackles and breaking up a pass.

“Guys we thought played well besides the players of the game was Marcus Oliver. … Up front, we thought (left guard) Wes Martin. By far his best game to date. A lot of effort, energy — can be better, but thought he did really, really, really well.”
