Anunoby named to Erving Award watch list

Indiana’s OG Anunoby is receiving national attention ahead of his sophomore season.

Anunoby is a candidate for the Julius Erving Small Forward of the Year Award watch list. On Wednesday, the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced a list of 20 candidates for the award, which is in its third year of circulation.

The 6-foot-8, 235-pound Missouri native averaged 4.9 points and 2.6 rebounds in 34 games as a freshman. He shot 80 percent or better from the field in seven of those games, and scored a career-high 14 points in IU’s NCAA Tournament opener against Chattanooga.
