Feeney doing more after missing 3rd straight game

Dan Feeney traveled to Columbus for Saturday’s game at Ohio State, but neither dressed nor played.

It was the third consecutive game the All-American right guard has missed since suffering a concussion on Sept. 10 against Ball State. Indiana coach Kevin Wilson said Feeney is doing more work behind the scenes and will continue to be monitored ahead of this week’s homecoming matchup with Nebraska.

“We’ll see if we can get him back,” Wilson said.

Indiana is also keeping an eye on a few other injuries this week. Wilson said Jacob Robinson, who has also missed the past two games with a concussion, is “doing a lot more,” while tailback Cole Gest is running around after missing the past two games with an ankle injury.

Indiana’s injury report does appear a little cleaner now that defensive lineman Robert McCray is back in action.

McCray, who underwent shoulder surgery in August, made his season debut on Saturday at Ohio State, assisting on three tackles.

“We’re no worse, and in some ways we’re probably stronger than we have been,” Wilson said.
