Feeney returns to practice

Dan Feeney may be nearing a return.

Feeney, who hasn’t played since suffering a concussion on Sept. 10 against Ball State, has been practicing with IU’s team this week.

IU coach Kevin Wilson confirmed the news on his weekly radio show Wednesday night. Although Feeney is back in pads, the All-American right guard is still waiting on a full clearance from team doctors before he can dress for games. Feeney has appeared in only five-plus quarters this season.

“I don’t know how much he’s going to play,” Wilson said. “I’m waiting to hear from the doctors.”

Indiana travels to Northwestern for a noon Eastern kickoff on Saturday.

  1. It would be a great boost for the OL and the entire offense if Feeney can play this week. Much of the lack of running game is due to Feeney and Camiel missing from the OL. Getting Feeney back [when it happens] will solve a lot of the problems on the OL as Knight is doing a good job at RT.

For Dan Feeney’s sake I hope he gets back because he returned this year to play with a team he thought would be a special team. It would be wonderful to have him turn the OL play and help IU win 5 of the next 6 games.
