Four-star point guard Tremont Waters committed to Georgetown on Wednesday, choosing the Hoyas over Indiana.
Waters, a New Haven, Conn. native, is considered the No. 10 point guard in the 2017 recruiting class, according to the 247 Sports Composite rankings. Kansas, Kentucky and Connecticut were among the programs that pursued him.
Indiana currently has three players committed in the 2017 class, including Illinois wing Justin Smith, Pennsylvania forward Clifton Moore and Georgia guard Al Durham. 247 Sports ranks IU’s class fifth in the Big Ten and No. 25 in the nation.
The Hoosiers are also waiting on a decision from five-star North Central wing Kris Wilkes, who is expected to choose between IU and UCLA.
