Indiana ranked No. 6 in latest AP poll

After opening the season with a win over Kansas, Indiana is now firmly inside the top 10.

The Hoosiers moved up five spots to No. 6 in this week’s Associated Press Top 25, released Monday afternoon. That’s the highest ranking for IU since the 2012-13 season.

Of the four Big Ten teams included in this week’s poll, IU is the highest-ranked of the bunch. Wisconsin remains at No. 9, Michigan State dropped one spot to No. 13 and Purdue is still No. 15.

With its loss, Kansas dropped from No. 3 to No. 7. The top teams — Duke and Kentucky, respectively — are unchanged. Villanova is the new No. 3, Oregon is No. 4 and North Carolina is No. 5

  1. I hope it is the loudest but classiest crowd any of the Tar Heel players ever experience. I know Duke fans are unique, but I want Assembly Hall to put that bunch to shame.
