  1. We played very well against a team that is much better than their record would indicate. They play a very tough schedule, we are the 3rd Big 10 team that they have played. Coach Moren said during her post game press conference that she was pretty pleased with the way we played this evening. Oakland which was averaging 80 points a game was held to 59 points on 35% shooting. We only had 10 turnovers as opposed to 15 for Oakland. We outrebounded them 34 to 23 with us securing 18 offensive rebounds. Alexis Gassion had a monster game with 15 points and a career high 20 rebounds, just 2 short of the IU record, 3 assists and 2 blocks. Amanda Cahill had yet another double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Tyra Buss handed out 6 assists and Tia Elbert had 4 assists. Jenn Anderson had 12 points, 5 rebounds and 2 blocks. A terrific night far the Hoosiers. This coming Tuesday will be another big road test against Florida. Go Hoosiers!!

  2. It often seems the home court makes a huge difference in ladies basketball even more so than the men’s basketball….at least for the lady Hoosiers regarding consistency of play that it takes to win on the road. It would be great if lady Hoosiers could parrellel their road play to a closer level of consistent play as they do on the home court. I do not expect it to be equal but just not as big a descrepancy.

  3. Home sweet Home,, theres nothing like it. IU had another good game as expected , the defense improving, great game from Buss, Gassion, and Anderson, nice contribution from the bench, especially Foresman and Elbert. Because of our good defense we didnt let Oakland get hot . They did shoot 31% from 3 pt land , but Moren was afraid they might shoot 60% from there, didnt happen. It was a fun game along with some inspired IUW fans. It will be tough at Florida who currently has 23 rankings pts and sit at #30 in the AP. We will need a strong showing in this game to help us down the road for ncaa bids. A big Congrats to Lex and her great game plus 20 reb. Show the Gators who we are, go IU!

  4. I truly loved the FREE D version of Gulley’s outstanding beautiful spin move. I cant count the number of times Ive watched it. Ria is to be applauded for it, many hours must have been spent to get it down just right.

  5. Steve, coach Moren has stated more than once this year that Gulley is IU’s most athletic player on a team of pretty good athletes. You are correct, the spin move was beautiful! There was a young woman sitting behind me messing with her phone and missed the move, she was wondering why we all reacted the way we did in response? I told her about the play and that without a doubt they would re-run it on the score board which did not happen. Her loss 🙁
