Northwestern announced Thursday that Saturday’s game against Indiana will be played in Evanston, as scheduled, following the death of sophomore Jordan Hankins.
Saturday’s 2 p.m. (CT) contest with IU will be Northwestern’s first since Hankins’ death. Hankins was found in her dorm room Monday, and the Wildcats’ game against Minnesota on Wednesday was postponed. Her death was later ruled a suicide.
It will undoubtedly be an emotional game. Thursday night against Rutgers, Northwestern’s men’s basketball team will honor Hankins with patches on their jerseys.

Hankins is from Indianapolis and went to Lawrence North High School. In fact, she was recruited by Curt Miller when he was the coach at IU.
Truly heart broken..recruited my butt off for her before I left Indiana. My thoughts and prayers to NW WBB and all of her family and friends https://t.co/8ezDpOtAtw
