Indiana will line up against Wake Forest in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge in 2018-19.
The Hoosiers’ contest in the annual series will take place on the road on Nov. 28.
Wake Forest was 14-17 last season, including 5-11 in conference play. The Demon Deacons bring an international flavor to the floor, as Elisa Penna, a 6-foot-3 senior from Italy, leads the team in scoring at 15.8 points per game. Alex Sharp, a 6-1 forward from Australia, led Wake Forest in rebounding at 8.4 boards per contest.
IU had a tougher assignment last year in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, hosting Louisville at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. The Hoosiers lost that contest, 72-59.
“This year, the ACC/Big Ten Challenge presents our program with a great opportunity for a road test early in our schedule,” IU head coach Teri Moren said in a press release. “We are looking forward to the challenge of playing at Wake Forest and against a team that will prepare us for the remainder of the season.”
This is the second piece of information to be released about the Hoosiers’ non-conference schedule. Earlier this month, it was revealed IU will compete in the Puerto Rico Classic against Loyola Marymount, Grambling State and South Dakota from Dec. 19-21.
Solid win for ladies (should be)
