IU drops a spot to No. 22

Indiana dropped one spot in the Associated Press top 25, opening the week at No. 22 in the poll.

The Hoosiers split their schedule last week, beating Illinois 73-65 at home on Thursday before losing 74-63 at Michigan on Sunday.

Only four Big Ten teams remain in this week’s poll, with the Wolverines topping the list at No. 2. Michigan State is ranked No. 6 and Ohio State is No. 16. Wisconsin, Nebraska and Iowa all dropped out of the top 25.

IU is positioned at No. 17 in the NET rankings, while KenPom.com rates the Hoosiers 27th nationally.

Indiana plays only once this week, traveling to Maryland on Friday night.
