Gameday Central: Wisconsin at Indiana

Indiana has lost five straight games at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall, a streak the Hoosiers will try and stop tonight against Wisconsin.

IU’s current home skid is its longest in Bloomington since the 2009-10 team also dropped five in a row. The last time Indiana lost six straight at Assembly Hall was the 2008-09 season.

To end that skid tonight, the Hoosiers will have to beat a Badgers team that has won eight of its last 10 games.

“They’re very (good at) ball control,” IU coach Archie Miller said. “They really massage the ball in the halfcourt. They have a first-team All-American in Ethan Happ. He’s a tremendously difficult cover with the way they use him, posting him up from the 3-point line. he causes a lot of different problems for their opponents. They definitely want to keep the game in the halfcourt on both sides of the court. Our defense has to create a little bit of offense. We don’t want to be guarding them for 30 seconds each time down.”

    1. The refs were bad, inconsistent and incompetent all night. This review “system” is another ruining of the game. Wonder what the rules committee will institute next year? Maybe just install a popcorn machine & recliners near the review TV and mouse?

  1. It’s like a lot of things. Whatever it is it will be worse than the last thing it replaces. As I age I have learned that I don’t want any more good deals telling me it is good for me.
