Florida DB makes commitment to Indiana #iufb

Florida defensive back Aamaris Brown became the ninth member of Indiana’s 2020 football recruiting class on Monday.

Brown, a 6-foot, 191-pound safety from Seffner, Fla., made his commitment via Twitter, joining the Hoosiers over offers from Illinois, Iowa State, Kansas State, Minnesota and Rutgers, among others.

The three-star recruit recorded 30 tackles, seven interceptions, two tackles for loss and two pass break-ups as a junior last fall at Armwood High School, the same school as current IU redshirt freshman linebacker James Miller.

Indiana has now collected three commitments in the past two days.

  1. I am excited to see A. Brown commit to IU. He has shown himself to be a playmaker and ball hawk on defense. IU will benefit from his ability find the ball and have the speed to return INTs for TDs.
