IU soccer announces spring schedule

The 2020 spring schedule for the Indiana men’s soccer team was announced on Thursday morning.

The Hoosiers will play four games at Grand Park in Westfield, two indoor and two outdoor, host one match at Armstrong Stadium and travel to St. Louis.

“We are excited to get back on the field and kick off our spring schedule next week,” IU coach Todd Yeagley said. “The spring is a great time to develop both individually and collectively. Our young team continues to make positive strides with the work on the field and with our sports performance staff. Having the ability to experiment with different positions as well as provide important minutes to our developing players will pay dividends this fall and in the future.”

The slate kicks off on Feb. 22 with Loyola Chicago, the defending Missouri Valley Conference champions, at Grand Park. That game is a 2 o’clock kickoff outdoors, weather permitting.

The first of two indoor matches follow when the Hoosiers take on the Indy Eleven of the United Soccer League on Feb. 29 at 8 p.m. The second indoor match will be on March 6 at 7 p.m., as Indiana squares off with Butler.

The lone home match will be an alumni game on March 27 at 7 p.m. The alumni lineup will be announced at a later date.

On April 4, IU takes on the St. Louis Billikens at Worldwide Technology Soccer Park in the only road game.

The schedule wraps up back at Grand Park with the Hoosiers facing Notre Dame in the 2020 College Showcase Crossroads of America on April 17 at 8 p.m.
