IU football schedules 2026 contest at UConn

Indiana football has scheduled a 2026 contest at UConn.

The trip to Storrs, Conn., is slated for Sept. 26, 2026. This makes up IU’s previously scheduled road contest with UConn for the 2020 season. That contest was canceled when the Big Ten went conference-only because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This was the second scheduling announcement in as many days for IU football. Monday, the program announced the Hoosiers will have a home-and-home series with Notre Dame in 2030 and ’31.

UConn leads the all-time series with IU, 2-1. The Huskies won the first two contests in 2003 and ’06, but the Hoosiers dominated UConn in a 2019 matchup, 38-3.

UConn didn’t just have its game with IU canceled last season. The Huskies sat out the entire 2020 season because of the pandemic.

With this addition, IU has at least one non-conference game scheduled for every year through 2031 except for 2028 and ’29. IU is slated to play Indiana State in 2025 and ’27. Louisville is scheduled for 2023, ’24, and ’25.

Florida International and Charlotte are also slated for 2024, while Indiana State and Akron appear on the 2023 schedule. Idaho, Western Kentucky, and Cincinnati are the Hoosiers’ non-conference opponents in both 2021 and ’22.
