Injury report for Western Michigan game

Indiana will open its football season Saturday with a relatively healthy team. There are four players who will be out for the game with injuries and none of them were likely starters. The four who have been ruled out are tight end Ty Harangody (knee), defensive back Tim Sergi (neck) and offensive linemen Chauncey Incarnato (ankle) and Cody Faulkner (shoulder). Western Michigan has lost for the season freshman Jordan White (torn ACL), who was in the hunt for playing time among an inexperienced group of wide receivers.

Two starters, All-MAC linebacker Ameer Ismail (pulled hamstring) and safety/kicker returner Louis Delmas (hip flexor) have missed practice time recently, but are expected to play. Western Michigan quarterback Tim Hiller, who started seven games last year, is out for the season with a knee injury he suffered in last season’s final game. But Saturday will mark the return of sixth-year senior quarterback Ryan Cubit, son of WMU head coach Bill Cubit. Ryan Cubit was the starter last year until going down with a broken leg. The NCAA awarded him a sixth year of eligibility because of the injury.
