Means out for Southern Illinois

Here’s the injury report from IU for Saturday’s game: Out – wide receiver Andrew Means (head), tight end Ty Harangody (knee), offensive lineman Chauncey Incarnato (ankle) and defensive back Tim Sergi (neck); Probable – quarterback Graeme McFarland (shoulder).

Means took a big hit last Saturday on a key 32-yard catch over the middle in the second half when he likely sustained his injury. He was at Indiana’s open practice this week Wednesday when the media was allowed to attend, but he did not practice. The loss of Means, who has three catches this season for 58 yards and a touchdown, leaves Indiana without a couple of its top receivers Saturday.

James Hardy, who has seven catches for 112 yards and a touchdown, is suspended for the next two games. Coach Terry Hoeppner said Tuesday that Hardy will not play the next two games because of “personal issues” unrelated to his arrest last spring. Hardy was not at practice Wednesday.

Harangody, a redshirt freshman from Andrean High School, is the one Hoosier who’s been ruled out for the season because of injury.
